Bro. Alvin L. McCoy
Our minister and his wife, Lois of 36 years are the proud parents of four adult children and grandparents to a loquacious granddaughter and her energetic brother.
Upon graduation from high school, Brother Alvin McCoy earned several degrees among them a degree in Funeral Service Education and his most cherished is a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Texas. While in Texas he was privileged to minister the flock at the Tudor Street Church of Christ in Paris, Texas.
After returning to Florida, he became an Administrative Corrections Officer with the state of Florida retiring after 34 years of service.For the last 23 years, he has been the minister of the Florida Avenue Church of Christ, Palm Bay, Florida. Along with tirelessly working for the state and the church, he has continuously worked for Stone Funeral Home in Cocoa, since 1974.
Alvin began preaching when he was only eleven years old under the direction of the late Brother J. P. Henry. He has worked with and spoken at many programs, Lectureships, and conferences. His work has garnered him many awards from the community.
